One person was seriously hurt in a collision on Highway 6 Tuesday morning.

Wellington County OPP say the collision occurred shortly before 7 a.m. in Puslinch Township, south of Concession 1 and the community of Morriston.

It involved a southbound SUV, a northbound dump truck and a third vehicle that was also northbound.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a Hamilton hospital with injuries police described as serious but not life-threatening.

A passenger in the SUV was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the third vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries and the driver of the dump truck was not hurt.

Highway 6 was closed for several hours following the crash, which remains under investigation by police.
