Between January 1, 2016 and March 31, 2016 Guelph Police report there have been 717 collisions, compared to 836 reported during the same time period in 2015.

January was the worst month for accidents with 321 reports.

The second last day of the week, Thursday, was the day when most reports came in and the worst time for collisions was 3 p.m.

Only eight collisions involved drugs or alcohol during the time period, six involved pedestrians and two involved cyclists.

According to police, Gordon Street and Wellington Street was the worst intersection for collisions, followed by Silvercreek Parkway and Woodlawn Road, and the intersection of Edinburgh Road and Stone Road.
