Guelph police are investigating yet another large-scale baby formula theft in the city.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, police were called to a report of shoplifting at a grocery store on Stone Road West.

Police say two women entered the store together at around 8:00 a.m.

As one of the women distracted staff, the other walked out of the store with a large quantity of baby formula.

Police say security video showed the two loading the formula into a black four-door sedan.

The value of the stolen formula is estimated at $4,000.

This is the eighth baby formula theft in Guelph in recent weeks.

Police say there had been five previous incidents on Clair Road and two on Kortright Road.
