Guelph Police say a man has been arrested after getting into an altercation and using bear spray.
Yesterday around 4:00 p.m. police were called to 90 Carden Street, in response to a strange smell in the lobby.
Police say one person discharged a can of bear spray during a dispute and pointed a replica firearm at others in retaliation.
The man was arrested shortly after 11:00 p.m. as he was leaving his apartment.
At the time of the arrest, the 21-year-old was carrying the replica firearm, a baton and a knife.
He now faces multiple weapons and assault charges.
