On Monday evening Wellington County OPP received complaints about a car speeding down Highway 6, passing other vehicles unsafely, and disobeying traffic signals.
Police attempted to catch up with the car as it drove through Guelph, where it allegedly continued to travel above the speed limit and not follow traffic signs.
Eventually the vehicle was blocked by traffic at the intersection of Victoria Road and Elizabeth Street in Guelph where the driver was taken into custody.
A 25-year-old Guelph man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police, he is scheduled in court in December.
