Friends and family come together to search for missing 24-year-old man in Guelph

Guelph Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who has been missing for nearly a month and a half.

24-year-old Cody Thompson was last in contact with his family on April 1^st. Police say it is unusual for a person to go this long without any indication of where they may be.

The investigation is ongoing but there are currently no leads as to what may have happened to him.

Friends and family took it upon themselves to search along the banks of the Speed River in Guelph on Saturday.

Family members say the Boathouse Tea Room in Guelph is the last known location where Cody Thompson was seen before he disappeared.

“It’s a very emotional time and it’s very difficult for everybody,” says Kristine Thompson, Cody’s aunt.

Anyone with information of what could lead to the whereabouts of Cody Thompson is asked to contact Guelph Police or Crime Stoppers.
