Guelph Police say they want to make members of the public aware of the presence of a high-risk sex offender in the city.

They say James Porter Badour, 52, “has a pattern of offending against young children, both male and female,” was recently released from custody and plans to live in Guelph.

He is under a court order not to communicate with anybody under the age of 16 and not to go anywhere a person under the age of 16 is likely to be.

Police say they will be closely monitoring Badour while he is in the city.
