Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell is in the Royal City to meet with dignitaries and students.

Dowdeswell arrived Tuesday afternoon at the University of Guelph for a private lunch with the president and administrators.

The day continued with a roundtable discussion at the Food Institute and discussions at the Aboriginal Resource Centre. Dowdeswell then addressed a group of third-year students enrolled in an Environmental Politics and Governance course and will finish the day by attending a reception hosted by the president of the university.

Dowdeswell’s tour continues Wednesday with a stop at city hall and the Guelph Civic Museum.

The visit is part of a program to visit various communities across the province.
