A Guelph man has been arrested and charged following an incident allegedly involving a knife and bear spray.

On Wednesday, Guelph Police went to a Montana Road residence and arrested a man after reports were received that he had caused property damage to the same home and uttered threats to residents, the day before.

Following his arrest, police discovered crystal meth, marijuana, two knives and a can of bear spray.

The 20-year-old man has been charged with three counts of utter threats, two counts of mischief to property under $5,000, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, administer a noxious thing, breach of probation, possession contrary to an order and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He is scheduled to appear in bail court Thursday.
