A man who was brought before a Guelph court on Wyndham Street South tried to escape.
The 22-year-old Guelph native jumped out the prisoner’s box, pushed an OPP officer and took off out of the room.
He was arrested shortly after by a court security guard.
The OPP Special Constable was left with minor scrapes from the incident.
The man is charged with escape lawful custody and assault peace office and will appear in court again on Thursday.
