Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly groped a woman who was walking in Mount Forest.
According to the Wellington County OPP, the sexual assault occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, as the 89-year-old woman was out for her morning walk.
Police say the man had been sitting on a bench in front of a church on Birmingham Street East, smoking a cigarette.
When the woman walked past the man, he alleged stood up and groped her from behind.
The man is described as being about 5’10” and slim, with fair skin and light brown hair. Police believe he could be in his mid-20s, and he was seen wearing beige shorts and a T-shirt.
The elderly woman was not physically injured in the attack.
