A 25-year-old Guelph man is in serious condition in hospital after being hit by an SUV at the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Royal Road.
Police say the man was crossing Speedvale on the west side of the intersection Saturday when he was hit by an eastbound Ford Escape.
The man was badly hurt and was transported to Guelph General Hospital before being airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital. As of Monday morning, he remained in serious condition.
Police shut down the intersection for several hours while they investigated.
No charges have been laid.
