A Guelph man, who already had his license suspended, faces a long list of driving offences.

Around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, a Guelph police officer spotted a vehicle, near Speedvale Avenue and Watson Parkway, with two mismatched license plates.  The cruiser began to follow, heading out of the city.  Passing through a 60 km/h zone, the vehicle reached 137 km/h before the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and ended up in the ditch.  The driver was arrested at the scene.

A brief investigation revealed the man was a prohibited driver and neither of the license plates were registered to that vehicle.

A 25-year-old Guelph man was charged with dangerous driving and possession of stolen property.  Along with one count of driving while under suspension, he is also facing charges of speeding, stunt driving, using plates not authorized for the vehicle and driving without insurance.
