A Guelph woman threw a knife at a neighbour who was checking to see if she was OK, police say.

Police were called to the Yorkshire Street home Sunday afternoon.

According to police, two women heard a loud argument coming from the home and knocked on the door to see what was going on.

The door was answered by a woman who was holding a knife, which she allegedly threw at the other women – hitting one of them in the chest.

A 24-year-old woman is facing charges including assault with a weapon.
