Saint John man dies after two-vehicle crash in northern New Brunswick

A 28-year-old Saint John man has died in a two-vehicle crash in Saint-Basile, N.B., according to the RCMP.

Officers responded to the collision on Route 2 around 9:57 p.m. on Wednesday. Police believe an eastbound transport truck failed to stop and rear ended a car.

A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an RCMP news release.

“The three passengers were transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries,” the release reads. “The driver and sole occupant of the transport truck was not injured.”

The investigation is ongoing.
