Robbery suspect arrested more than a year after cash stolen from Saint John store

In December 2024, a suspect allegedly robbed a convenience store in East Saint John, and a year-and-a-half later, police have charged a man for the incident.

The Saint John Police Force says a man with a weapon entered a convenience store on Bonita Avenue around 7:20 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2024. He fled the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

An employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the robbery.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man for robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent on Wednesday. The unnamed man was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
