Alliston, Georgina men among six charged in Aurora homicide on busy street

Two men from Alliston and Georgina are among six people charged with second-degree murder in the death of an Aurora man who was found on a busy east-end street last week.

On Wednesday June 10, around 2:45 p.m., York Regional Police were called to Wellington Street East and Walton Drive for “unknown trouble.”

When police arrived, they found a man who was suffering from significant trauma. Officers say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 55-year-old David Gosse of no fixed address. The Office of the Chief Coroner determined he died from blunt force trauma.

As a result, six people have been charged with second-degree murder. York Regional Police say the suspects include a 44-year-old man from Alliston and a 36-year-old man from Georgina. The others are residents of Aurora.

Investigators say the case remains active and are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
