Barrie Catch the Ace lottery could offer $250K in prize winnings

Tension builds across Barrie as the jackpot for the Catch the Ace lottery ramps up.

With an estimated $250,000 on the line this Thursday, time is running out to buy your tickets.

“This year’s lottery has exceeded every expectation,” said Ian Pavlik, Catch the Ace committee member. “We have never seen the jackpot grow this quickly so early in the draw cycle, and the weekly prize payouts have been remarkable. Every Thursday night now feels like a major event.”

The weekly draw takes place every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 147 on St. Vincent Street in Barrie.

It is also streamed live online via YouTube for viewers watching from home.

Now entering Week 19, organizers say weekly prize amounts are dramatically higher than in previous years, creating unprecedented momentum and community excitement.

Tickets are available for just $5 and can be purchased online or in person at the Barrie Legion.

Beyond the excitement of the draw itself, Barrie Catch the Ace continues to support important local charitable initiatives through a partnership between Royal Canadian Legion Branch 147 and the Rotary Club of Barrie.
