Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a second person in connection to a shooting in Elliot Lake.

On Monday, Kawartha Lakes OPP arrested a 19-year-old Ennismore man in connection to a shooting in Elliot Lake dating back to April.

On April 16, East Algoma OPP attended a call for shots fired on Willoughby Road, in Elliot Lake where numerous residents reported hearing gun fire outside of the building.

Two people were arrested on scene, but two suspects were outstanding.

On April 29, police arrested a 27-year-old Ennismore man in Toronto and charged him with attempted murder, discharging a firearm in a reckless manner and possession of a weapon.

The 19-year-old arrested Monday was charged discharging a firearm in a reckless manner, assault and assault with a weapon.
