Friday Night Fever took over the dance floor at Barrie’s Liberty North on Friday evening.
Marking 30 years of efforts in the community, the Season’s Centre for Grieving Children held its annual Tender Hearts Gala at Barrie’s Liberty North. It was started by Rowley Ramey after the tragic loss of his two daughters.
The organization supports youth who have lost a close family member, such as a parent or sibling, by bringing them together and providing a sense of community.
This year’s gala was themed after Friday Night Fever. It was hosted by Pure Country announcers Carey Moran and Stan Musial.
With a goal of raising $125,000 there’s an online auction open to members of the public. There are $40,000 in prizes including various trips, golf excursions and a signed jersey by Maple Leafs Forward Mitch Marner.
The auction closes on Sat. April 26 at 6 p.m.
