Man charged in alleged sexual assault of 15-year-old

A Lethbridge man has been charged with sexual interference and sexual assault.

Police say they responded to a report involving a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually assaulted after midnight on April 19 while attending a party at a southside residence.

Investigators allege the adult homeowner took the girl into a bathroom under the pretence of examining a sunburn and inappropriately touched her.

Andrew Brian Davies, 50, is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference of a person under 16.

He was released from custody following a judicial interim release hearing.

Davies is scheduled to appear in court on June 19.
