Waterloo man accused of luring a child, making child sexual assault and exploitation material

A Waterloo man has been charged as part of an investigation into child exploitation.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service launched an investigation in May, leading to the search of a Waterloo home on Wednesday.

A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of child sexual assault and exploitation material, making child sexual assault and exploitation material, luring a child with a telecommunication device and making sexually explicit material available to a child.

Charges including the phrase “child sexual assault and exploitation material” previously used the term “child pornography.”
