Cochrane woman faces drug charges after OPP raid

Ontario Provincial Police seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine and crystal meth during a drug raid in Cochrane.

A 35-year-old Cochrane woman is facing multiple drug-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a local residence earlier this month.

On April 17 at about 7:30 p.m., James Bay OPP officers searched a home on Gold Street.

“During the search, officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine,” the OPP said in a news release.

“Police also recovered a digital scale, packaging materials, a cellphone, and approximately $360 in Canadian currency.”

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $10,000.

The local was charged with three counts of drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused was held in custody pending the result of a court appearance on April 22.
