Sault Police charge 55-year old man with break, enter and theft

Police in Sault Ste. Marie say a 55-year-old man faces several charges following an investigation of a break in June 1 in the 0-100 block of Abbott Street.

“Officers saw the accused in possession of property stolen from the residence before he fled the scene. A co-accused was located inside the residence and arrested,” police said in a news release.

Officers later arrested the man Tuesday and charged him with break, enter and theft under $5,000 and possession of property.

Police said the man was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug 31.
