Winnipeg man flips his vehicle on rural road near Kenora

A 22-year-old man from Winnipeg has been charged with careless driving and other offences following an incident on a rural residential area near Kenora on June 6.

Ontario Provincial Police posted a photo of the overturned vehicle on social media, along with a reminder to obey the rules of the road.

The incident took place around 3:30 p.m.

‘Friendly reminder’

“Friendly reminder: speed limits aren’t suggestions and road conditions don’t care how confident you are behind the wheel,” police said on social media.

“Slow it down — your vehicle is built to stay on four wheels, not to audition for a unicycle act or attempt a surprise backflip. Thankfully, the driver walked away without injuries … but not without several charges.”

In addition to careless driving, he was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and being a G1 driver operating a vehicle without a qualified driver in the vehicle.
