Ottawa to see temperatures above 30 C this week

Sunshine and warm temperatures are in the forecast to start the new work week as Ottawa dries out from a wet weekend.

A total of 27.9 mm of rain was recorded at the Ottawa Airport over the weekend, the first recorded precipitation of June.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a mainly sunny day and a high of 27 C. The morning fog patches should dissipate this morning.

It will be clear tonight. Low 10 C.

Tuesday will start sunny, then becoming a mix of sun and cloud through the day. High 30 C.

Wednesday will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 25 C.

The outlook for Thursday calls for mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 30 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected on Friday with a 30 per cent chance of showers. High 31 C.

The normal temperatures for this time of year are a high of 23 C and a low of 13 C.
