Vehicle fire closes Kemptville carpool lot near Hwy. 416

Ontario Provincial Police have closed a carpool lot in Kemptville for an investigation into a vehicle fire.

Police were called to the parking lot near Highway 416 and Rideau River Road just after 5:30 a.m.

The lot remained closed more than three hours later, police said in an update.

No other details about the investigation were immediately provided.

Police said the on-ramp from Rideau River Road to Highway 416 remains open.
