Sask. man wanted in Pelican Narrows killing arrested in Edmonton

Police say Nigel McCallum is wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder in connection with the death of 26-year-old Jaden Custer.

RCMP say a man wanted in connection with a suspicious death in Pelican Narrows has been arrested in the Edmonton area.

Brett McCallum was arrested by Edmonton Police Service on Saturday.

According to an RCMP news release, he will be transported back to Saskatchewan for his first court appearance. The court appearance details are still being determined.

McCallum, 31, who also goes by the name Nigel McCallum, is wanted for second-degree murder following the homicide of 26-year-old Jaden Custer in Pelican Narrows.

Officers were called to a home in Pelican Narrows early on May 21 for a report of an injured man.

The victim was found at the scene and later pronounced dead by EMS.
