2 arrested in Victoria assault near Beacon Hill Park

Police in Victoria, B.C., say two people were arrested and another two people were hospitalized after an alleged assault with a weapon near Beacon Hill Park on Friday night.

Officers were called to Dallas Road just after 10 p.m. with reports of a “confrontation involving multiple people,” according to the Victoria Police Department.

Police didn’t specify what kind of weapon was used, but said two people were arrested and remain in custody, one of which being a youth.

Three people were injured, all with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police say the pair of people who were hospitalized have since been released.

The Victoria Police Department said their investigation into the alleged assault remains ongoing, and has asked anyone with information on the matter who hasn’t already spoken to police to call the E-Comm non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 ext. 1, and quote file number 26-27379.
