Crews send one to hospital following house fire Thursday

One person was taken to hospital in unstable condition Thursday following an afternoon fire.

Crews were called to a single-storey house fire in the 1300 block of Magnus Avenue just after 4 p.m.

Smoke and flames were seen coming from the home and firefighters attacked the blaze from the inside.

One person was treated by paramedics on scene and then transported to hospital in unstable condition. The city said no other injuries were reported.

The fire is being investigated and no damage estimates are available.
