An inmate serving a sentence of two years and one day at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, N.B., has died. Ryan Richard, 27, died on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Correctional Service of Canada. He had been serving a sentence since Aug. 14, 2024. “As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances,” the release reads. “CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.” Richard’s next of kin have been notified.
