Brampton man, 48, dies in single-vehicle crash in N.B.

A 48-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., has died after a single-vehicle crash in Meductic, N.B., on Tuesday.

Police say they responded to the report of the crash which involved a transport truck on Highway 2 around 5 p.m.

According to a news release from police on Wednesday, the crash is believed to have happened after the driver lost control of the truck, leaving the roadway and crashing.

Police say the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The 48-year-old passenger of the truck died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

RCMP says a collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Officer are helping with the ongoing investigation.
