Police in Cape Breton are searching for the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a Sydney residence early Friday morning.
The Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a report of a collision on Maloney Street around 1:30 a.m. Police say a white Chevy Silverado truck crashed into the side of a multi-unit residence causing “significant damage.”
“No one inside the residence was injured, and occupants reported seeing two people run away after the collision,” reads a news release from the Cape Breton Regional Police.
A K9 united attempted to track their path, but police say they were unable to locate the two people.
The vehicle, with licence plate JAAT, was seized and towed from the scene.
Anyone with information about the collision, or who can identify the people involved, is asked to contact police at 902-563-5151 or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
