Jammies for Grammies delivery day Maritime seniors receive Jammies for Grammies – just in time for Christmas.

Friday was an exciting day for some Nova Scotia seniors.

Patricia MacNeil started Alyssa’s Angels Jammies for Grammies in 2020 to collect pajamas as gifts for Nova Scotia’s senior citizens at Christmas.

“We’re really excited today because it’s our delivery day,” MacNeil said. She and her team delivered to 11 different nursing homes as part of their 2024 campaign.

“We spread are wings each year and go a little further,” MacNeil said. The project has expanded since 2020 when they started by delivering to Oakwood Terrace in Dartmouth, N.S.

“We actually did one in Fredericton,” MacNeil said. “We stepped outside of Nova Scotia, but it was just a little small home and I knew a special grammy there.”

The charity received more than 1,000 sleepwear and specialty donations since the campaign started for 2024.

MacNeil started Alyssas Angels to honour her daughter after she passed away from brain cancer in 2020.
