If you’re looking for something to do tomorrow (Saturday) and you’re in the Halifax area, make sure to check out “Open City”.
Over 100 local businesses are participating in a downtown-wide open house. From food, to the arts, demonstrations and even a local trivia scavenger hunt, there’s something for everyone. Not to mention, tons of deals and incentives to support local businesses.
Earlier today, I caught up with Gordon Stevens, the founder of “I Love Local Halifax” and one of the driving forces behind tomorrow’s community event. He says everyone is invited to take part in “Open City”, not just Haligonians. Gordon says the all-day-affair is an opportunity to enjoy all the wonderful things this amazing city has to offer, whether you’re from Halifax or not.

Hello! Canada Magazine revealed their picks for the "50 Most Beautiful" Canadians of 2013 and several Maritimers got some recognition! Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia's Sidney Crosby made the cut, as did Halifax-native - Ellen Page. Fredericton-born actress Anna Silk also earned a spot on the coveted list, along with Halifax-based country star - Dean Brody.
