Man facing 29 charges following arrest at N.S. business

A Nova Scotia man is facing 29 charges after he was arrested at a business in Conway on Saturday.

In a Wednesday news release, police say they responded to a report that man wanted in connection to a theft investigation was inside a business on Highway 303 around 7:15 p.m.

During the arrest, police say the man told them he had a firearm in a bag he was wearing. Officers found the firearm, which was loaded, and seized it.

According to police, 34-year-old Harry Bell of Weymouth is now facing a total of 29 charges, including:

  •  possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  •  carrying a concealed weapon
  •  unsafe storage of firearm

Bell was held in custody and had his first court appearance on Monday.
