Two suspicious deaths in Mahone Bay, N.S. The Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating two suspicious deaths in Mahone Bay Sunday afternoon.

Lunenburg District RCMP is investigating two suspicious deaths at a residence in Mahone Bay, N.S.

On Sunday at approximately 1:05 p.m., RCMP found the remains of two deceased adults at a home on Long Hill Road while responding to a request to check on their wellbeing, said a Sunday new release.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious. Police said the individuals knew one another in the release.

Lunenburg District RCMP are leading the investigation. They are supported by the Southwest Major Crimes Unit (MCU), Nova Scotia RCMP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner.

RCMP said no further information is available but there is no evidence to suggest danger to the public.
