The Exxon Mobil Business Support Centre in Moncton, N.B., is preparing to cease operations as the company shifts its focus to other global business centres, according to officials.
CTV News Atlantic confirmed Thursday morning that the multinational oil and gas corporation is expected to fully close its Moncton location by Dec. 31, 2026.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we thank the Moncton workforce for their dedication and service,” said spokesperson Michelle Gray in an email.
“Approximately 250 employees work at the facility in Moncton and will be impacted.”
At this point, no details have been released on how or when employees will be let go or if they were offered any form of compensation or other job opportunities.
