Woman from Florida victim of fatal snowmobile crash in N.B.

A 61-year-old woman from Florida has died following a single off-road vehicle crash near Alma, N.B.

According to a news release issued Sunday, RCMP responded to the report of a snowmobile crash on a trail around 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police believe the crash happened when the driver of the snowmobile missed a turn and collided with trees. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the snowmobile, died at the scene.

A member of the New Brunswick’s Coroner’s office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
