A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Shippagan, N.B.
The RCMP says a masked man entered a business on J. D. Gauthier Boulevard around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and demanded money from the cashier.
The man then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured during the incident.
Shortly after, police say the man was seen driving away in a newer model red Honda Civic.
Police say officers located a vehicle matching the description later in the day at a residence on 1e Street and a man was arrested.
Officers searched the vehicle and residence on Monday and recovered a large amount of money, according to RCMP.
The man was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bathurst provincial court on July 14.
