Man wanted on provincewide warrant arrested in Fredericton

A man serving a sentence for robbery who failed to return to a correctional centre was arrested in Fredericton on Sunday.

The Saint John Police Force says Dylan McNamara, 26, failed to return to the Community Correctional Centre in the Port City on Friday, and so they issued a warrant for his arrest.

McNamara is serving a four-year, three-month and 10-day sentence for:

- armed robbery

- disguise with intent

- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

- uttering threat to cause death or harm

- assaulting a peace officer

- two counts of escape or being at large without excuse

- assault with a weapon

- theft under $5,000

- obstructing public/peace officer

McNamara also failed to return to the correctional centre last December. He was arrested after one day.
