A man from Moncton, N.B., has been charged with child pornography after police searched a home in Dieppe, N.B., last summer.
Codiac Regional RCMP started its investigation in July 2024 after receiving information from the public.
The force, as well as the RCMP’s Digital Forensic Services, searched the home on July 19, 2024.
Police say officers arrested a 58-year-old man at the scene and seized several electronic devices.
The man was later released on conditions pending a future court appearance.
Donald Ricker appeared in Moncton provincial court on Tuesday and was charged with possession of child pornography.
He is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
Anyone who is a victim, or has information related to similar crimes, is asked to contact their local police.
Police are asking anyone with information that may assist an investigation but would like to remain anonymous to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
