RCMP in New Brunswick are asking for the public’s assistance with three incidents of arson in the Doaktown region.
Doaktown RCMP responded to a report of a fire at an abandoned residence on Main Street in Doaktown around 4 a.m. Tuesday, said a Friday news release.
It was the third fire at an abandoned building in the area in just over three weeks.
Police responded to the first fire on Carrolls Crossing Road in Carrolls Crossing, N.B., on March 24 around 3:30 a.m. They responded to the second fire on April 4 around 3 a.m. on Bettsburg Road in Bettsburg, N.B.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
Police determined the fires were intentionally set and it is believed they are related.
A member of the New Brunswick Fire Marshal’s office is assisting with the continuing investigation.
Police ask anyone in the area at the time of the fires, any witnesses to suspicious activity or anyone with information that could assist in the investigation, to call the Doaktown RCMP at 506-365-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
