Police seek public’s help identifying vehicle allegedly involved in Moncton hit and run

Police are looking to identify a vehicle allegedly involved in a hit and run involving a pedestrian in Moncton, N.B., last month.

The Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report that a person had been hit by a vehicle near the 2500 block of Mountain Road around 12 p.m. on Jan. 24.

According to police, the pedestrian was not injured, but the vehicle did not remain at the scene.

The RCMP has released a photo of the suspect vehicle in hopes someone will recognize it.

Police describe the vehicle as a black Mazda 5 with a New Brunswick licence plate beginning with the letters “JRN.” The vehicle also had significant damage to the driver’s side mirror.
