Rexton, N.B., middle school closed for two days following online threats: officials

A middle school in Rexton, N.B., is closed again Tuesday after online threats were allegedly made over the weekend.

Officials with Eleanor W. Graham Middle School and the Anglophone North School District decided to close the school for a second day “out of an abundance of caution.”

The school’s principal said in a message to families the situation will be reassessed on Tuesday and an update will be sent.

The school district says it can’t comment further, citing the active police investigation.

According to the school’s website, 219 students attend Eleanor W. Graham Middle School.
