The Saint John Police Force says a 47-year-old man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

Police issued an arrest warrant for William Flynn on Tuesday for allegedly breaching the conditions of his statutory release after failing to return to the Community Correctional Centre in Saint John.

The force says he is serving an eight-year, seven-month and four-day sentence for:

  • three counts of armed robbery
  • three counts of disguise with intent
  • two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • assault causing bodily harm
  • two counts of failing to comply with a probation order

Police say Flynn was located and arrested around 12:23 p.m. Wednesday.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
