The Minto RCMP is investigating after shots were fired at a house in Sunnyside Beach, N.B.

The Minto RCMP is investigating after shots were fired at a house in Sunnyside Beach, N.B.

Police said the incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday at a house on Route 690. The RCMP said the resident was home at the time and was able to leave uninjured.

The shooting was not reported to police until approximately 11:30 a.m.

Police said the resident reported seeing a white, newer style SUV driving away northbound on Route 690.

“Police are now investigating this is an isolated incident. The incident did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready,” read a news release Sunday.

Police are asking anyone who has video footage, witnessed the shooting, or has information on this incident to call 506-327-1820 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Police said officers remained in the area Sunday as part of the investigation.
