A 65-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in New Denmark, N.B.
Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 108 at the intersection of Hansen Crossing Road on Friday around 1:07 p.m., according to a news release from RCMP.
Police say the crash occurred when the driver of a transport truck lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, entered a parking lot, and struck a pedestrian and a nearby building.
The scene was also attended by a collision reconstructionist and a member of the coroner’s office.
A remotely piloted aircraft system was used to take aerial photographs of the scene, says the release.
A section of Route 108 was temporarily reduced to one lane during the investigation but has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing
