Firefighter uniforms, Jaws of Life motor stolen from fire station: Digby RCMP

Digby RCMP is searching for information related to a break-in and theft from a fire station earlier this month.

Digby RCMP is searching for information related to a break-in and theft from a fire station earlier this month.

Police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Southville Fire Department on Langford Road around 9 a.m. on March 14.

According to a Tuesday news release, someone broke windows to the fire station and stole firefighter uniforms, as well as a hydraulic motor used for the Jaws of Life – a rescue tool used to cut through cars and rip open vehicles to release a person who is stuck.

Police believe the suspect fled the area in a side-by-side.
