Halifax police look to identify suspect who allegedly pulled gun on someone last month

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a weapons incident last month.

Police responded to the 2100 block of Amalamek Way in Halifax on Feb. 28.

According to the force, a man was in a parking lot around 2:45 a.m. when he was confronted by three men he did not know.

Police say the man was assaulted and then one of the men pulled out a firearm, but did not use it.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspect with the firearm as a man wearing black rimmed glasses, a dark green camouflage parka jacket with a fur hood, blue pants, and white and black shoes.

Halifax police released images of the armed suspect in hopes it will help to locate him.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to contact them at 902-490-5020 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
